Manchester United’s title challenge continue to drift further away as this weekend they were held into a 2-2 draw by Leicester City.
It was an eventful encounter in which both teams were determined in looking for all three points as they put on an aggressive attacking display straight from kick off.
Playing in front of their home crowd, Leicester were able to get things going as they found themselves going one goal up through a fine effort from Jamie Vardy, who finished off Riyad Mahrez’s assist.
That lead didn’t last until half time though as five minutes before the break, United got back on level terms through Juan Mata’s slightly deflected effort, forcing that first period to end in a 1-1 draw.
Both teams continue their attacking approach in the second period and it was the away side this time that got things going first as Mata netted his second to turn things into Man United’s favor.
The match seem to really go into Jose Mourinho’s men hands when Leicester were forced to play with 10 men following Daniel Amartey’s sending off.
However, that red card didn’t stop the host from pushing forward as they continue to give problems for their opponent.
Just when it looked like the away side will be getting all three points, Leicester had other idea as Harry Maguire snatched a dramatic equalized in practically the last kick on that tie.
Disappointing result indeed for Man United as they are now already 13 points away behind current league leader, Manchester City.
