Man United and Chelsea Victorious, Barca Dismantled Juve

Not much surprises arriving in UEFA Champions Group stage match day 1 as the favorites all bagged maximum points from their opening fixture.

Two Premier League sides that took the pitch on Tuesday, Chelsea along with Manchester United both picked up convincing victories over their opponent, while Barcelona successfully got their revenge over Juventus.

At Old Trafford, Man United comfortably overcome their opponent, FC Basel 3-0 with goals arriving from Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku along with Marcus Rashford.

Not much issue indeed for Jose Mourinho’s team, though the tactician might have some concern with his star midfielder, Paul Pogba limping off the pitch and required substitution during that game.

Also playing at home, Chelsea demolished FK Qarabag 6-0 in a game which show The Blues’ two newcomers, Davide Zapacosta along with Tiemoue Bakayoko both getting on the score sheet.

Other four goals were netted by Pedro, Cesar Azpilicueta and a brace from substitute, Michy Batshuayi, simply brought tons of joy for the fans at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, at Camp Nou, Lionel Messi finally broke his duck against Gianluigi Buffon as the Argentinian maestro bagged two goals that helped Barcelona winning 3-0 against the Italian outfit.

Another goal for the Spanish side in that tie was netted by Ivan Rakitic, giving out a sweet revenge for Ernesto Valverde’s men against the team that eliminated them from Champions League last season.

In other news, mega rich side Paris Saint-Germain showcasing their strong shout as one of this season’s Champions League winner following their 5-0 away win against Scottish champion, Celtic.
