Manchester City’s winning run continue this midweek as they trashed Swansea City 4-0 which also break the Premier League record for consecutive victories.

Pep Guardiola’s men have now surpassed Arsenal’s previous 14 consecutive league wins as City’s midweek glory was practically their 15th on the trot.

Coming off an important derby win against Manchester United, Sergio Aguero and co put on a confidence display since kick off and got themselves going after 27 minutes following David Silva’s opener.

Belgium international star, Kevin De Bruyne doubled City’s lead on 34 minutes, giving his  side a comfortable lead going into the half time break.

The visitor kept on dominating proceedings as they added two more goals in the second period, with Silva completing his brace and Aguero sealing his team’s victory five minutes from time.

Meanwhile, Man United were able to bounce back from their disappointing derby defeat last weekend as Jose Mourinho’s edged Bournemouth 1-0 at Old Trafford,

It was far from a convincing display though from United as they were made to work hard before earning that single goal victory, not just offensively but also defensively as the visitor put tons of pressure int that match.

Romelu Lukaku who has been criticized due to his poor showing against City was the hero this midweek as it was his only goal that gave Mourinho’s side all three points.
