Man City Bounce Back, Chelsea and Spurs Keep On Winning
Manchester City immediately bounced back from their midweek league defeat this weekend as Pep Guardiola’s men overcome their visitor, Hull City 3-1.
Keen on redeeming themselves following their 2-1 defeat from league leader, Chelsea on midweek, Man City put on an aggressive display since kick off.
The home team got themselves in front through an own goal from Ahmed Elmohamady in the first 45 minutes, which lasted until half time break.
In the second period, City added two more goals through Sergio Aguero and Fabian Delph, while Hull only managed to pull one back from Andrea Ranocchia’s effort.
Meanwhile, league leader, Chelsea continue to prove their prowess after grabbing all three points against Bournemouth.
The Blues also got themselves ahead from an own goal as Adam Smith opened the scoring after deflecting Diego Costa’s effort.
Eden Hazard doubling his team’s tally not long after that, but the home side were threatening a fight as they pulled one back before half time break through Joshua King.
Eventually, it was Antonio Conte’s men that got all three points when Marcos Alonso scored a lovely free kick midway into the second half.
Tottenham Hotspur also keeping their recent winning run going as they demolished Watford 4-0 with Song Heung-Min netting a brace, while Delle Ali and Eric Dier scoring the rest.
Liverpool also got all three points, thanks to second half goals from Philippe Coutingho along with his fellow Brazilian, Roberto Firmino.
