Following a 2-2 draw against Valencia, Real Madrid made another intriguing decision as they sacked Rafael Benitez and replaced him with former super star, Zinedine Zidane.
Although Benitez’s departure might not sound as a surprise considering the pressure his been having, but Los Blancos decision is still considered harsh, especially since it’s Zidane who has been set as the new head coach.
Nevertheless, the Frenchman accepted his role with a proud feeling as he promised to give his all for Madrid and make everything work out.
Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez was also excited with his decision in appointing Zidane, stating that the former star midfielder have strong support from every element of the club, including Los Blancos’ die hard fans.
Perez also thanked Benitez for his short tenure at Madrid, saying that the former Valencia boss is a professional, who has done all he can.
