Madrid Not Giving Up on La Liga Title Race

Real Madrid’s title hope suffered another halt as Los Blancos were beaten by Girona this past weekend.

That loss puts them slipping back into third place, but that situation doesn’t seem to shut down their beliefs.

Los Blancos’ confidence that their La Liga hope is far from over was stated by Lucas Vazquez who said that no one should write them off as just yet.

Speaking to the media in an interview, Vazquez added that there’s still many games to play and Madrid remain are not out and done.

“No one should write us off as dead, as there are many games still to play and much to be decided before the end of season,” the winter stated.

It’s certainly a positive statement from the 27-year-old, despite knowing that his team must really work harder to achieve that ambition.

That defeat ended their recent positive run and put them nine points behind current leader, Barcelona.

Catching up with Blaugrana is far from impossible though as this season, El Barca have also slipped several times.

However, Madrid must be able to keep their winning run for longer period if they were to push for that title race until the end.

Nevertheless, for now that gap they have at the top is still reachable, especially with El Clasico battle still to come.
