Liverpool starting to feel the pressure of leading English Premier League standings as they only pick up a point on their latest league fixture against West Ham United.
Playing away from home on Monday night match, The Reds were keen on regaining their five points lead over Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s men did start off pretty well as they were able to get themselves in front on 22 minutes through Sadio Mane, albeit in a dubiously controversial situation.
That goal didn’t last long though as West Ham were able to get back on level terms six minutes later, thanks to Michail Antonio’s effort.
After a tight first 45 minutes, both teams continue their attacking approach in search for more goals after the break.
However, despite their effort, none of them were able to get that massive winning goal they were craving for.
Eventually, both teams have to settle for a 1-1 draw, which for now still good enough for Klopp’s men.
The draw means that Liverpool are still three points ahead of their closest rival, Man City, though it might change this midweek.
City are set to play Everton on Wednesday and a win can potentially put Pep Guardiola’s men back on top of Premier League.
