Liverpool Regain Runners Up Spot After Big Win Over Stoke

It doesn’t take long for Liverpool to regain their runners up spot in the English Premier League standings after being taken over by Manchester City on Monday, the next day, Jurgen Klopp’s men got that seat back.

The Reds returned within six points behind league leader, Chelsea following Klopp’s men impressive 4-1 victory over Stoke City this Tuesday.

Another exciting result indeed for Liverpool as they didn’t start off that well, going one goal down after just 12 minutes through Jonathan Walters’ effort.

However, goals from Adam Lallana along with Roberto Firmino turned things around in that first 45 minutes as Klopp’s boys ended the half taking a 2-1 lead instead.

Things got even better for Pool after the break as they netted two more goals courtesy of Giannelli Imbula’s own goal and Daniel Sturridge’s effort.

That 4-1 win won’t just give The Reds their second seat back, but also positive morale boost ahead of their big match clash against Manchester City this upcoming weekend.

Considering both teams are only separated within just one point with Man City sitting third at the moment, next weekend tie is quite important to temporarily determine each teams’ shot in challenging Chelsea.

Although Stoke’s quality might not be the same as City, but any big win can always helped lifting that confidence before facing up an important clash.
