The chase for Premier League title continue to heat up as top three teams, Chelsea, Liverpool along with Manchester City all picked up three points on their weekend fixtures.
League leader, Chelsea keeping their winning run after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, a result which also ended Spurs’ unbeaten record in Premier League.
It was not an easy start though for The Blues as they found themselves trailing through Christian Eriksen’s lovely effort, before Pedro equalized just before half time break.
Chelsea finally turned things around early in the second half when Victor Moses finished off from inside the penalty area, finishing a cross from Diego Costa.
That 2-1 result was enough to regain their table topping position which just few hours before were taken over in turn by Man City and Liverpool.
City themselves also picked up a similar win as they defeated home side, Burnley with two goals from Sergio Aguero after trailing first through Dean Marney.
Not an easy win for Pep Guardiola’s men, but still a positive result that puts their title challenge alive and well in this early part of season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool also got themselves back on winning ways this weekend with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland with goals coming from Divock Origi along with James Milner.
There’s a slight concern though for The Reds as their star midfielder, Philippe Coutinho picked up an injury which forced him to be substituted in that game.
