Klopp Wants Liverpool to Close Out Games Like Chelsea

Liverpool are still sitting third in current Premier League standings, but continuous problems in closing out games against weaker teams seem to bother their manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Following The Reds’ recent 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, Klopp stated to the press his wish of seeing his players seeing off games just like what Chelsea have been doing this season.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss believes that if his side are able to play like Antonio Conte’s side in late game situation, they can avoid giving opponents opportunities.

Moreover, Klopp also bemoans that his team simply lack the experience of handling late game situation, so in a way their draw this midweek might provide what they needed.

Nevertheless, despite not overall pleased with the result, the tactician is still pretty delighted with what his side put out on the pitch, especially their attacking ability.

Up til now, Liverpool have been the most productive side in Premier League, so there’s still something positive they can take away from from that draw.

The Reds are still sitting third in Premier League standings, but they already played one or two games more than their rivals for that top four seats.

An alarming situation indeed for Klopp’s men if they are keen on keeping their current position, especially if they continue to struggle against mid-bottom table sides.
