Andres Iniesta’s long adventure with Barcelona is coming to and end as the player himself has confirmed that he will be departing Camp Nou once this current season ends.
Iniesta made his statement in a recent news conference stating that it was a difficult decision for him to leave Barca, but he simply doesn’t want to be a hindrance for his side in the coming future.
Having such strong responsibility in playing for the Catalan side, Iniesta acknowledge that it’s getting tougher for him to keep up with his own high standard on the pitch.
The player added that he simply doesn’t want to put his team in an uncomfortable situation as it’s not something that Barca or he himself deserve.
That’s why it’s best for him to simply end his career with El Barca and look for playing opportunity elsewhere, though he is yet to make his final decision on where he will be heading.
Nevertheless, it looks like he won’t be staying in Europe as the midfielder is not keen on playing against Barca in the future.
Not deciding to retire from football yet, it certainly be interesting to see where will Iniesta eventually ends up since there’s still several top European teams that are interested in his service.
However, should he refused to continue playing in Europe, Major League Soccer or China could be an interesting solution for the Spanish living legend.
