Recent rumors claiming Manchester City’s strong plan in making a potential bid for Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe, seems to be nothing more than just media gossip, at least for the time being.
Denial over City’s interest on Mbappe was stated by the club’s manager, Pep Guardiola, who believes that there’s no chance of that deal happening, notably because PSG themselves won’t be keen on selling their star player anytime soon.
Guardiola added that everything was just an invention from the media as Man City never really think about that potential deal of happening, at least not anytime soon.
Moreover, the Spanish tactician also denied any potential swap deal involving City’s winger, Raheem Sterling, who has been continuously linked with a potential departure from Etihad stadium, despite having played significant role for the club up til now.
The former Barcelona tactician also requested more respect being given towards both City and PSG from the media, saying that they shouldn’t just keep creating rumors regarding players from both sides.
Nevertheless, it remain to be seen on whether Guardiola is really being honest in his denial over City’s potential approach for Mbappe, knowing how keen the tactician is to get his side getting the Champions League title.
Adding a quality talent such as Mbappe could really makes Man City’s chance in grabbing that major European club trophy much closer.
