France striker, Olivier Giroud finally felt the affection of Les Blues fans following his two goals against Iceland which prompted questions, whether he was out to prove that they were not missing Real Madrid star, Karim Benzema.
However, Giroud himself denied that he has that kind of mindset, stating that he has no issue with Benzema and was just out there helping out his team win and not thinking about anything else.
The Arsenal striker refused to make any more unnecessary comment regarding Benzema as Giroud doesn’t want to make any misunderstanding between them.
Benzema himself was previously projected to lead France front line but his recent off-field incident forced the nation’s Football Association to discard him from Les Blues Euro 2016 squad.
So far, Giroud has shown that he is quite capable of helping France, but the big test will arrive when they meet Germany in Euro’s semifinal phase.
