Donnaruma Rejected Milan’s Contract Renewal
In a rather surprising twist of event, AC Milan officially announced that their young talented keeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma won’t be renewing his contract with the club.
That decision was announced by the club’s CEO, Marco Fassone in a press conference after a rather short meeting with the keeper’s agent.
The announcement itself was also stated via Rossoneri’s official twitter account, while adding Fassone’s apology to fans that their recent goalkeeping idol has rejected the contract renewal offer.
Although the player has one year left in his contract with Rossoneri, which should end in June 2018, Milan might opted to sell now, seeing that things might not go well for the fans and also their dressing room chemistry.
Reports from Italy suggesting that Milan have actually made a generous offer for a the 18-year-old talent, worth 4.5 to 5 million Euro per year, but Donnarumma apparently has set his mind on something else.
Strong rumors are indicating that the player might already received bigger offer from somewhere else and keen on moving elsewhere.
However, so far aside from Paris Saint-Germain there haven’t been any concrete interest being made for the young shot stopper, though media reports seem to believe that Real Madrid will soon make their move on the Italy international.
It’s obviously a disappointing situation for Milan, notably the new management that have done pretty well so far in the transfer market, acquiring quality players to improve the squad.
Nevertheless, this shouldn’t make Rossoneri or their fans felt too disappointed as they must move on and show that there’s no player is bigger that the club.
