Costa Rica are gearing themselves up for a midweek friendly clash against Spain, but the Concacaf’s main target is getting themselves ready for upcoming Gold Cup challenge.
That statement was outed by La Tricolor’s head coach, Paulo Wanchope during a news conference, stating that winning the Gold Cup is their main target as they never won that tournament.
Obviously, Costa Rica won’t be keen on getting beat up by their opponent on this midweek friendly, but Wanchope is more determined in getting his players ready to face challenges in Gold Cup.
Despite both teams will be using their friendly as a preparation match, but that surely won’t reduce the entertainment value that is being offered.
