Conte Never Planned Italy Takeover

Antonio Conte has been officially appointed as new Italian coach, but the former Juventus man admitted that he never really had any plan on taking that role in the first place.

Explaining his decision during a news conference, Conte revealed that after parting ways with the Bianconeri he doesn’t think of getting into coaching job that soon as was planning a trip to improve his tactical skills.

The tactician even stated that he was keen on waiting until next summer for an offer from any big clubs, but after being convinced by current Italian Football Federation president, Conte finally accepted the challenge in managing Gli Azzurri.

Although it wasn’t his main plan, Conte claimed that he is happy with his decision as being a head coach of Italian national side is a prestigious position that many top tacticians would be keen on having.
