Successfully making their way into the quarter finals of World Cup 2014 in Brazil, Costa Rica arrived in Russia with lots of excitement and beliefs that they can achieve similar success.

However, before thinking about repeating their success in 2014, the Concacaf based side must face Serbia on their opening group fixture this Sunday.

Although what they achieved in previous tournament is a massive success, but thinking that it can be repeated easily might not be the best approach, especially if they start to underestimate their opponent.

Nevertheless, head coach, Oscar Ramirez, certainly knows what his players must do if they want to achieve similar success this time around.

Their unconvincing friendly results might create a slight concern for their fans, but that doesn’t seem to bother Costa Rica too much as they are working hard to get themselves ready for their Sunday clash.

Serbia themselves finally got themselves back into World Cup finals after their last participation back in 2010, which was not a memorable one as they didn’t make it out of the group stage.

This time, the Balkan side are eager to achieve something more and with a good combination between young talents and experienced players such as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Adem Llajic, Nemanja Matic or Aleksandar Kolarov, they are confident with their qualities.

Probable starting line up:

Costa Rica: Keylor Navas; Giancarlo Gonzalez, Oscar Duarte, Johnny Acosta, Cristian Gamboa, Bryan Oviedo; David Guzman, Celso Borges, Bryan Ruiz, Christian Bolanos; Marco Urena

Serbia: Vladimir Stojkovic; Branislav Ivanovic, Nikola Milenkovic, Dusko Tosic, Aleksandar Kolarov; Nemanja Matic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Dusan Tadic, Adem Ljajic, Filip Kostic; Aleksandar Mitrovic
