Colombia and Senegal Battling for a Place in the Last 16

Another exciting World Cup 2018 match is set to bring excitement for football fans as Colombia and Senegal are battling for that spot in the last 16.

Beating Poland in such fine fashion on their  last game certainly regained Los Cafeteros’ confidence as they gear up for an important tie against their African counterpart.

The South American side doesn’t have any other target aside from three points, so they will be pushing hard straight from kick off.

Jose Pekerman will be hoping that his players can continue their fine combination up front, especially the likes of James Rodriguez, Radamel Falcao along with Juan Cuadrado, who can bring problems to Senegal.

Being the favorites to get out of their group, there’s certainly a bit pressure looming for Colombia, but with the experience players they have, Pekerman certainly expecting that his side can overcome any obstacles, including Senegal.

As for the African outfit, they might only need a point to go through, but playing for a draw can be very risky, especially against Colombia that have many talented players who can win games on their own.

After a promising showing against Poland, Senegal did show their vulnerabilities when drawing against Japan, so head coach Aliou Cisse will be keen on fixing the problems they experienced against the Blue Samurai.

Having both teams keen on securing that last 16 spot, this encounter should be tense and exciting, it remain to be seen whether Colombia possessed that mentality needed in overcoming Senegal.
