Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur grabbing their second straight win in the English Premier League as they defeated their opponents this Saturday.
The Blues had it tougher though as they overcome their London rival, Arsenal 3-2 in an exciting contest, especially during the first 45 minutes which both teams shared a 2-2 result.
Playing their first home game this season, Maurizio Sarri’s men started brightly as they got themselves in front after nine minutes of play through Pedro.
Alvaro Morata doubled The Blues’ advantage on 20 minutes, giving his team a somewhat healthy lead in that first 45 minutes.
However, Gunners reacted well after going two goals down as they pulled one back through Henrikh Mkhitaryan on 37 minutes, before Alex Iwobi netted home the equalizing goal four minutes before half time break.
Both teams tried to continue their attacking approach after the break, but it was Chelsea that take control of things more, especially after Eden Hazard came into the pitch.
The Belgium international certainly inspired his side as he eventually involved in The Blues winning goal after providing a fine assist for Marcos Alonso, who scored on 81 minutes.
Meanwhile, Tottenham also grabbed a precious home victory as they defeated newly promoted Fulham 3-1.
Lucas Moura opened the scoring for Spurs just before half time break, but it was leveled early in the second period by Aleksandar Mitrovic, before Kieran Trippier along with Harry Kane got the home team back into winning ways.
