Antonio Conte’s Chelsea can’t seem to stop their winning run as they grabbed their 12th straight league victory after defeating Bournemouth 3-0 in Boxing Day this past Monday.
Playing without their star striker, Diego Costa, who was suspended, didn’t seem to bother The Blues too much as they netter three goals on their opponent.
Former Barcelona attacker, Pedro was the star of that match as he netted two goals, while Eden Hazard added another on to complete Conte’s side dominance.
Starting the game without putting on any classic target man, Chelsea still dominate and got themselves in front through Pedro’s effort.
Hazard made it 2-0 after converting a spot kick, before the Spaniard completed his brace by scoring his team’s third and final goal in the comfortable home victory.
Meanwhile, The Blues’ rivals, Arsenal along with Manchester City also secured maximum points on their respective Boxing Day fixtures.
Gunners finally bounced back from previous two league defeats as on Monday they defeated West Bromwich Albion, thanks to a late goal from Olivier Giroud.
Man City themselves collected a 3-0 away win over Hull City, but it was far from an easy victory for Pep Guardiola’s men as they were made to fight hard for it.
Being held into a goalless draw in the first 45 minutes, it wasn’t until Yaya Toure’s penalty on 72 minutes that City finally broke the dead lock.
Afterwards, Kelechi Iheanacho doubled his team’s advantage and an own goal from Curtis Davies sealed everything for Guardiola’s men.
