Chelsea Ended Man United’s FA Cup Hope

Manchester United’s ambition in grabbing another FA Cup trophy this season ended in the quarter final as they were eliminated by Chelsea on Monday.

Jose Mourinho’s men once again failed to handle his former club as a second half goal from N’Golo Kante secured that semifinal ticket for the Blues.

That game had a rather emotional feel to it as temper was certainly blowing up even since the first 45 minutes which saw United losing Ander Herrera who got himself sent off.

Playing with just 10 men for most of the game made things tougher for Mourinho’s side and eventually they surrendered through Kante’s effort early in the second period.

Nothing much that United can come up with to get themselves back on level term as Chelsea did more than enough to secure their slender win.

The absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to suspension seemingly affecting the Red Devils’ sharpness up front, especially he has been quite instrumental in their attacking play this season.

Nevertheless, should they were able to maintain their emotion better and not having to play with one man less, things could be better for Mourinho’s men.

As it is, Chelsea are the one heading into FA Cup semifinal stage in which they are set to match up against Tottenham Hotspur, creating another big match fixture with Arsenal against Manchester City as the other battle.
