Chelsea Confirmed Premier League Title After Win Over West Bromwich
Just as it was predicted by many, Chelsea have finally confirmed the English Premier League title this early weekend as they defeated West Bromwich Albion.
It was far from a commanding victory through for Antonio Conte’s men as they were made to work for it by their opponent.
Playing away from home, The Blues were still determined to take maximum points and sealed everything on Friday.
However, West Brom put up a good fight, especially during the first 45 minutes where they were able to frustrate Conte’s boys.
In a very sluggish battle, neither teams were able to score any goals in that first half although Chelsea were dominant in ball possession since kick off.
Nothing seemingly changed much early in the second period as WBA continue to give problems for their visitor.
Fortunately for The Blues, they do have more options on the bench and the entrance of Michy Batshuayi turned things around.
The Belgium international went in and scored the only goal in that match eight minutes from the final 90 minutes mark to secure that Premier League title once and for all.
Certainly an exciting period for Conte as he showed his ability again to win league title on his first season with a club, after previously doing it in Italian Serie A with Juventus.
