Bayern to Face Madrid, Barcelona Meet Juve in Champions League
Reaching the last eight, there are no easy drawing for Champions League top sides as some of them are set to battle each others already.
Bundesliga giant, Bayern Munich are gearing up for an intense two leg ties against defending champion and La Liga powerhouse, Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, another Spanish giant, Barcelona will have to battle Italian champion, Juventus, in a supposedly intriguing battle for that one ticket into semifinal round.
Bayern’s match up against Madrid also becomes much more interesting knowing that the current tactician of the German side is Carlo Ancelotti, who was an ex-coach of Real Madrid.
Ancelotti even managed to lead Los Blancos in winning their 10th Champions League title, before being fired a season later.
Knowing that there haven’t been many personnel changes at Madrid after his departure, the Italian certainly can offer some insight about Zinedine Zidane squad.
However, similar situation can also be gathered by the Spanish outfit since Zidane himself was Ancelotti’s assistant during the former AC Milan boss’ reign at Santiago Bernebau.
As for Barcelona’s encounter against Juventus, both teams certainly will feel that they are facing an intriguing battle, especially for the Italian as their opponent might have that morale boost following their dramatic comeback against Paris Saint-Germain.
Staging the first tie at home, Juve surely feel cautious, knowing how dangerous things can be when the match head into the second leg at Camp Nou.
