Barcelona Officially Appointed Ernesto Valverde as New Coach

Just like it was strongly predicted by the media, Spanish giant, Barcelona officially appointed Ernesto Valverde as their new head coach in place of Luis Enrique.

The former Athletic Bilbao boss was unveiled by Barca via their official social media page earlier today as the tactician was being presented to media.

Valverde will be starting his adventure with El Barca next season and certainly many expectations are set upon his shoulder, notably in getting them back into a title winning squad.

News of Valverde’s appointment was presented by the Catalan side’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, who also confirmed that the new tactician is signing a two year deal with an option for the third.

It’s far from a surprising news as rumors about the 53-year-old tactician’s appointment as new Barcelona boss has emerged soon after Luis Enrique announced his departure.

Failing to win Spanish La Liga title along with competing in Champions League this season, the hope is that things can get better again for the Catalan outfit next summer.

Losing the league title to their arch rival, Real Madrid is certainly a disappointing outcome this season that all Barca enthusiasts are hoping to immediately erase under Valverde guidance next season.
