Bad news arrived for Barcelona fans as their club’s super star, Lionel Messi, won’t be available for selection in the next three weeks at least, following injury he picked up during his team’s 4-2 victory against Sevilla on Satutday.
Reports from the Catalan side confirmed that Messi had a fracture in his arm which will force him to sit out for at least that three weeks period, meaning the Argentinian international won’t be available for their midweek Champions League clash against Inter Milan and next week El Clasico against Real Madrid.
Not something that the Catalan side were expecting, especially with the tight schedule that they are set to experience starting from this upcoming Wednesday against Inter.
Although admitting that losing Messi is a big loss for them, Barcelona boss, Ernesto Valverde, ensured that his side will continue to do their best during the Argentinian super star’s absence.
Valverde also added that whether they like it or not, Barca must learn on how to play and perform well despite without the Argentinian star’s presence on the football pitch.
It will certainly be interesting to see how well can the Catalan outfit cope without having Messi to showcase his quality on the right side of Barcelona’s attacking side.
