Arsenal seriousness in pursuing a top class striker continue to be questioned as after losing out on Gonzalo Higuain, the Gunners had their bid attempt for Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette rejected.
The French club confirmed to public, via their official social media page, that they have not accepted an offer worth 35 million Euro from Arsene Wenger’s side for Lacazzette.
Lyon’s decision to confirm their rejection was also to counter recent reports claiming that the offer Gunners’ made was 48 million Euro.
Keen on clearing up that situation, the French outfit decided to inform things publicly that the offer they were rejecting from Arsenal was only 35 million Euro, which is considered not enough to prize up an important player such as Lacazette.
Lyon went on to stated that they want to keep their star player as he is an irreplaceable player for Les Gones squad for the upcoming season.
