Arsenal Stunned After FA Cup Early Exit

Arsenal’s FA Cup defense came to an end at such early stage as Arsene Wenger’s boys found themselves getting eliminated by Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Wenger’s men were able to draw level though within just three minutes later as Per Mertesacker scored to make it 1-1, which unfortunately didn’t last until half time break as on 44 minutes Lichaj’s netted his brace and regained his side’s advantage.

Arsenal tried to improve their performance after the break but found themselves conceding a third goal when Ben Brereton converted from the spot on 64 minutes.

Danny Welbeck were able to pull one back for Gunners 11 minutes before the final 90, but soon afterwards Forest got their two goals margin back with another penalty, this time it was converted by Kieran Dowell.

Despite having to play with 10 men in the last few minutes, the home team hold on to their 4-2 lead and create a massive joy at their home ground.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur picked up a contrasting result as Mauricio Pochettino’s men comfortably defeating Wimbledon 3-0.

England international striker, Harry Kane continue to showcase his sharpness as he netted two goals in that game, while another Spurs’ goal was scored by Jan Vertonghen.
