An intriguing tie is set to spark Europa League last 16 as Arsenal are being drawn with Italian giant, AC Milan in a two leg tie that potentially offers nothing but excitement.

Gunners arrived in the stage following their 4-2 aggregate win over Ostersunds, but were Arsene Wenger’s side were poor on their second leg tie as they got beaten by their opponent.

That result might brings out some warning for Arsenal as Milan certainly will be a much tougher opposition as the Italian side have been in great form so far in 2018.

The Rossoneri are unbeaten since the new year and even looking to battle for their target of reaching top four spot in Italian Serie A standings, though they are still eight points behind fourth place team, Lazio.

Nevertheless, under Gennaro Gattuso’s guidance, Milan have been showing improvements not just in results, but also performance and notably confidence.

Gunners themselves despite still being considered as one of the favorites to win Europa League, haven’t been putting on a consistent performance up til now as they can shine in one game, but suddenly broke down in the next one.

Both teams are also considering the Europa League as potential target as winning it means that they can snatch that one direct ticket for Champions League place next season.
