Arsenal Not Giving Up on Lemar
Already securing the signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Ligue 1 side, Lyon, Arsenal reportedly still keen on raiding the league as they are pushing for AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.
Gunners’ interest towards Lemar is apparently known by the French champion, but they were not impressed with Arsene Wenger’s side initial offer and have rejected it.
However, Arsenal are not giving up yet on their target as reports strongly suggesting that they are ready to increase their bid with the hope of receiving more positive response from Leonardo Jardim’s side.
Latest reports claiming that Wenger’s side are ready to offer 45 million Euro to prize up the French international winger from his current club.
That new number is reportedly five million higher compared to the previous bid from the Premier League side which was rejected by Monaco.
Albeit it’s not particularly that high of an increase, Arsenal are hoping that their new proposal can push the envelope on their bid to acquire the talented 21-year-old.
It will certainly be an interesting transfer story though notably since Monaco themselves have been quite persistent in stating that they don’t have any plan in selling another star player, especially after Bernardo Silva’s departure.
Gunners themselves seemingly keen on gearing themselves up to compete better in the Premier League next season and also preparing should they do lose Alexis Sanchez this summer.
