Spending the whole summer putting on strong resistance towards Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, Arsenal apparently might eventually ended their resilience in keeping their star duo.
As it was revealed by the Gunners’ boss themselves, Arsene Wenger, in a recent news conference, the London based club acknowledge that they might have to part ways with both Ozil and Sanchez this January.
Knowing that contract renewal talks involving those two players have been stalled up till now, Wenger finally admitted that it’s very possible for his side to cash in on those two players in the upcoming winter transfer market.
Both Sanchez and Ozil’s current deals are scheduled to end next summer, so Arsenal might be losing them for free come July 2018, should they decided to keep them until this season ends.
Nevertheless, Wenger also added that he still isn’t giving up on persuading the duo as he believes that both the German international and Chile star look happy at Emirates.
That’s why despite admitting the possibilities of their departure, until everything is confirmed, the French tactician will do everything he could to get his two superstars into committing their future with Gunners.
It certainly won’t be an easy task, since Sanchez himself has strongly suggesting his plan to depart Arsenal since last summer, while Ozil himself still hasn’t show any indication of signing a new contract with Wenger’s side.
