Losing their last Premier League matches in 2018, both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were able to bounce back and pick up their first victories in 2019.
Playing at home against struggling Fulham side, Gunners immediately took control of proceedings as they got themselves in front after 25 minutes through Granit Xhaka’s effort.
Nothing changed much after the break as Unai Emery’s men remain dominant and added their second goal on 55 minutes, this time from Alexandre Lacazette’s effort.
Fulham made things a bit interesting when they pulled one goal back through Aboubakar Kamara, but 10 minutes later Arsenal regained their two goals margin with Aaron Ramsey’s strike.
The home team finally sealed their win with a fourth goal as Pierre Aubameyang found the net on 83 minutes.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur also grabbed a dominant victory as they defeated Cardiff City 3-0 with goals coming from familiar names.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for the visitor after just three minutes of play, while Christian Eriksen made it 2-0 on 12 minutes.
Republic of Korea star, Son Heung-Min completed Tottenham’s dominance as he netted his team’s third on 26 minutes, pretty much ending the tie during the first 45 minutes.
