Manchester City’s title ambition this season looking stronger by the day as Pep Guardiola’s men can’t seem to stop winning.
Playing in front of their home crowd, Man City were determined to grab another three points as they immediately put on an attacking play.
However, the home team were facing tough battle as West Ham put on a solid display and even managed to get themselves in front through Angelo Ogbonna’s goal just before half time break.
Trailing by a goal didn’t lower down City’s confidence as they kept on pushing forward in search for that equalizing goal.
The home team’s relentless effort was eventually rewarded as Nicolas Otamendi scored on 57 minutes as he finished off an assist from Gabriel Jesus.
City completed their turn around seven minutes from time, thanks to an effort from David Silva as his acrobatic effort beat Adrian on The Hammer’ goal.
That victory means that City maintained their eight points ahead of their closet rival, Manchester United.
An important result indeed as that put Guardiola’s men are mentally more than ready to face up against United next weekend, a battle which could already affected the title race this season.
Having a comfortable lead pretty much put that pressure on United as Jose Mourinho’s men must win to close their gap at the top of Premier League.
