Álvaro Alexander Recoba Rivero (Montevideo, 17th March 1976) joined Inter from Nacional back in 1997 for 7 billion lira. He spent ten seasons with the Nerazzurri (during which he spent six months on loan at Venezia), racking up a
total of 261 appearances and scoring 72 goals. His Inter honours list includes two Scudetti, two Coppa Italia trophies and two Supercoppa Italiana titles. During his career he also featured for Danubio, Torino and Panionios. For Uruguay he played 68 matches and scored 11 goals, also featuring during the 2002 World Cup. He retired from football on March 21st 2016.
