Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was delighted after Adebayor scored in the 2-0 home win over Portsmouth. The Togo captain returned to Eastlands in great touch after a horror experience whilst on international duty at the African Cup of Nations in Angola earlier this month.
Return in such fashion was a great effort according to Mancini : “I am very happy for Emmanuel to score this goal, it was an incredible situation he has been involved in. For his sake I hope he can forget it but I think both he, and his family, know he has been very lucky.”
