Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott believes the Eastlanders have the edge going into Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.
City currently hold a slender advantage in the battle for the final Champions League spot as they lead the Reds by one point with a game in hand.
The ambitious Eastlands outfit climbed back above their rivals with Tuesday’s fortunate 1-1 draw at 10-man Stoke.
Lescott said: “It’s huge for us that we’re going into that game above them now thanks to the result at Stoke. We still believe we can get into the Champions League – and I believe that all the pressure is now on Liverpool.”
