Crystal Palace saw their FA Cup journey come to an end this weekend as they were eliminated by Championship side Wigan Athletic at The DW Stadium. Playing in front of their loyal home fans, Wigan immediately set off into an attacking mode and that effort was not fruitless as they went a goal up on 36 minutes through Ben Watson.
Trailing by a goal, Palace looking really keen on getting back on level terms and their attacking venture was rewarded midway into the second period when Aaroon Wilbraham scored the equalizing goal. However, Wigan were not keen on losing out in front of their fans as they continue to push forward, before eventually regaining their advantage with an effort from James McClean, who scored on 78 minutes.
