New York City FC continuing their late surge in snatching that important Major League Soccer's play off spot as they grabbed a dramatic win over Vancounver Whitecaps.

The visitor made a positive start indeed on that tie as they got in front on 29 minutes through their star midfielder, Frank Lampard.

Whitecaps refused to give up easily though as they kept on plugging for that equalizing goal which they eventually get on 88 minutes from Pedro Morales' spot kick.

However, it was NYCFC that had the final say as deep in stoppage time David Villa also converted a penalty to give his team all three points.
