Valencia Vs Barcelona Highlights: Barcelona was held to a 1-1 draw when playing against Valencia at the Mestalla. The hosts took the lead with Ever Banega slamming the ball home through a close range shot but the Argentinean leveled the score some minutes later with a penalty kick.

From the start of the game Valencia defended with a large number of players being deployed in their own half which frustrated the visiting team.

Roberto Soldado launched some warning shots upon the own area of Barcelona and some moments later Tino Costa firing a free-kick which ended up touching the hands of Xavi but the referee denied the appeals from the players of Valencia.

Valencia was however rewarded for their efforts when a cross fell into the head of Pique as he tried to clear it away but could only put it where Banega was located and he just blasted it past everyone else as he scored the 1rst goal of the evening.

The lead did not last very long as Pedro was tripped inside the box of Valencia and a penalty kick was given to Barcelona with Messi rifling into the roof of the net as he scored the equalizer.

The hosts tried to get back in the lead with Guardado threatening the opposition and forcing Valdes on making great last minute saves. Roberto Soldado almost scored the 2nd for Valencia but was denied by a superb double-save from Valdes.
