Tottenham Hotspur were forced to battle hard before securing a slender win over Toronto FC in a friendly fixture this midweek.
Eager to showcase their quality, Spur immediately took control of proceedings as they got themselves in front after 16 minutes through Eric Lamela's effort.
The Argentinian who had a difficult time last season looking really keen on proving his worth as he bagged his team's second five minutes before half time break.
Toronto refused to give up easily though as midway into the second half, they pulled one goal back from Andrew Wiedeman's effort.
That goal gave more confidence for the home side as they eventually drew level thanks to a goal from Jordan Hamilton on 73 minutes.
However, Spurs eventually regained their lead four minutes from time when Andros Townsend scored the winning goal.
