Stoke City Vs Manchester United Highlights: Manchester United’s most recent victory in the Premier League gives them an enormous 15 points lead over their nearest opponents Manchester City and with only a few remaining matches left in this season, it looks like the team of Sir. Alex Ferguson is well on their way to winning the title.

Being eliminated from the Champions League might have been a demoralizing thing for the players and manager but it did not seem like that. They played fairly well against Stoke City with a 2-0 victory and it’s just hard to not see them actually claiming the Premier League title.

Real Madrid took them out of the European tournament but this made no effect to their performance as they played at the Britannia Stadium.

As early as the 5th minute they already had scored through Michael Carrick who only had to poke the ball into the net of Stoke City in order to score the opening of the campaign.

Sir. Alex Ferguson’s team by any means did not go all out in the attack as instead they just sat back and let the minutes tick down. The local team struggled on creating anything really against David De Gea who enjoyed a fairly quiet evening with his defenders being able to cope with most of Stoke City’s threats.

Van Persie was tackled down in the 25th minute inside the penalty box of the opposition and so the referee allowed the set-piece to be taken with the Dutchman making no mistake in scoring the 2nd and last goal of the match.
