Reading got themselves back on winning ways this midweek as they demolished Blackpool handsomely at the Madejski Stadium, scoring five goals in that encounter. The home side were seeking for redemption after suffering a disappointing defeat last weekend against Ipswich Town and Reading's ambition were shown with their aggressive display since kick off which resulted in an opening goal from Adam Le Fondre after just seven minutes of play.
Le Fondre continue to cause problems for Blackpool's back line as 10 minutes later he bagged his second goal to give the home team a comfortable two goals margin going into half time break. Things got even more comfortable for the host as early in the second half Pavel Progrebnyak puts them three goals to the good. Blackpool did managed to pull one back on 65 minutes through Steve Davies, but two more goals from Le Fondre, who completed his hat-trick on 67 minutes, along with Hal Robson-Kanu's strike eight minutes from time secured an impressive 5-1 victory for Reading.
