Wigan Athletic's hope of survival in English Championship looking harder after suffering a disappointing away defeat from Nottingham Forest this past midweek.
The away side were in dire need for points, but have to face a very determined Forest side which put on an attacking display since kick off.
Dominating proceedings, it was the host that eventually got themselves ahead on 33 minutes through Britt Assombalonga's effort.
After the break, Forest kept on pushing forward as they added a second goal from Chris Burke on 50 minutes.
The home team finally sealed all three points from that tie when Henri Lansbury netted home his side's third on 61 minutes.
