Middlesbrough continue to put pressure on their joing top rivals of current English Championship division as they defeated Ipswich Town last Saturday.
Playing in front of their loyal crowd, Boro got themselves ahead on four minutes through Daniel Ayala's effort.
However, Ipswich reacted well as they were able to draw level on 11 minutes from an effort by Daryl Murphy.
The host regained their lead though when Albert Adomah scored on 30 minutes, giving his side a slender lead going into second period.
After the break, Boro continue to dominate proceedings as they added two more goals on that half.
Patrick Bamford was the key man on that second period for Middlesbrough as he grabbed two goals to secure a 4-1 win for his side.
