Manchester United Vs Everton Highlights: With an upcoming Champions League match against Real Madrid it was in the duty of Sir.Alex Ferguson to see how his starting XI performs in full gear with a top tier club as they hosted Everton in their home turf Old Trafford.

An early combination from Rafael and Rooney ended up with the Dutchman Van Persie having edged his way past Tim Howard and with the net completely empty, the former Arsenal player could only hit the post.

The hosts continued creating chances and going upfront with their main attacking players and it did not take long for them to score the opening goal.

Van Persie collected the ball inside the box of Everton and rolled it over to Ryan Giggs who was left completely alone and unmarked which allowed him more than enough time to slot the ball into the net of Tim Howard.

The Dutchman Van Persie once again had a golden chance on making his mark on the score-sheet with a very similar opportunity at the start of the match when he rounded off Tim Howard but this time he tucked it into the back of the net.

2nd half of the game did not change anything as United still had the upper hand and despite the best efforts from Everton they could not make any damage against Sir.Alex Ferguson’s team.
