Mali 3-1 Ghana highlights: Mali grabbed their second consecutive third place spot in Africa Cup of Nations after defeating the same opponent from previous year, Ghana on Saturday.

Patrice Carteron's men looked really up for it right from kick off as they turned on the pressure early and eventually getting their reward in the 21st minute when Mamadou Samassa scored from a fine low header just inside the penalty area.

Triggered by that goal, Ghana pushed up a bit more as they're seeking for that equalizing goal, but instead of scoring they conceded another one early in the second half. From a fine attacking move, Seydou Keita popped up inside the box and netted home with an excellent low drive. The Black Stars were closed on equalizing when they were rewarded a penalty, but Mubarak Wakasso failed to convert it.

Ghana did managed to pull a goal back with eight minutes left with an effort from Kwadwo Asamoah. However, Mali sealed their third place spot with a late goal scored by Sigamary Diarra deep in stoppage time, gifting a welcome present for Carteron's men.
