Liverpool continuing their challenge for this season's Premier League title as they bagged an important home victory over Cardiff City this Saturday at Anfield stadium. Eager to temporarily snatched that table topping position from Arsenal, Brendan Rodgers' men immediately set off into an attacking mode and that positive effort was eventually rewarded on 25 minutes, when the Reds' star forward, Luis Suarez, showcasing his quality once again by opening the score for his side.
That one goal lead, didn't stop Liverpool from pushing forward vigorously as they netted a second goal with just three minutes before half time break, with an effort from Raheem Sterling. The Reds were far from finished as during that first half they added a third goal in the stroke of half time through Suarez's brace. Cardiff were not keen on giving things up easily as they tried to battle hard in the second half, but for all their efforts, the away side only managed to pull one goal back from Jordon Mutch on 58 minutes.
