Charlton Athletic secured their passage into the next stage of FA Cup campaign this season after snatching a hard fought away victory over Huddersfield Town this past weekend. Both teams were really keen in grabbing that ticket into the fifth round as they were pushing forward vigorously since kick off. After a rather disappointing first 45 minutes in which neither sides were capable in finishing their goal scoring chances, things opened up after the break and it was Charlton that got things going with an effort from Simon Church on 54 minutes.
That goal triggered a much interesting contest with Huddersfield becoming much more eager in snatching a goal which will rescue them from a defeat. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the home side failed to change things around as that slender lead lasted until the final whistle was blown and Charlton secured their passage into the next round of FA Cup.
