Galatasaray Vs Schalke 04 Highlights:The Telekom Arena was the scenario of battle between Galatasaray and Schalke as they were set to face off in their 1rst leg of the Champions League which finished off in a 1-1 draw.

Burak Yilmaz fired his team off with an early 12th minute goal as he capitalized on a mistake from the defender Howedes who just slipped and allowed Yilmaz to reach the goalkeeper until blasting it into the net.

The early goal from Galatasaray did not startle the visitors as they did everything in their power to find the equalizer. Hamit Altintop almost managed to tie it up but was denied by the crossbar. Semih Kaya was next in line to come in arm’s reach of scoring but just not managing on actually doing it.

They continued pushing forward until finding the long searched goal that turned the game 1-1 through Jones when he was left completely unmarked inside the penalty box of Galatasaray and received a short pass from Farfan which left the 31 years old midfielder whipping it past the goalkeeper.

It was the last goal of the game as they have to meet to play their 2nd leg in Germany on March 12. It’s going to be the match that will decide which side will be advancing into the next round of the Champions League.
