Feyenoord Rotterdam failed to continue their opening day victory in Eredivisie as they were held into a draw at home by Heerenveen.
Grabbing all three points on their first game in Eredivisie, Feyenoord were determined in following up with another victory when they host Heerenveen.
However, the home team were having some difficulties in breaking down their opponent's defense as the first 45 minutes ended in goalless draw.
Things seemed to be heading into Feyenoord's favor though when their opponent were forced to play with only 10 men midway into the second half with Joey van den Berg receiving his second booking.
However, despite playing with 10-men, it was Heerenveen that got in front when Hakim Ziyech scored on 67 minutes.
Fortunately, it didn't take long for Feyenoord to get back into that tie as three minutes later they drew level through Mitchell tre Vrede's deflected effort.
The home team failed to take advantage of their one man advantage as that 1-1 score line didn't change until the final whistle was blown.
