Still struggling to push themselves out of bottom two seat in current English Premier League standings, Cardiff City are keen on continuing their survival mission by grabbing all three points from their weekend battle against fellow newly promoted side, Hull City. The home team are in dire need for a victory as another poor result this Saturday, February 22 could further sink them into that relegation spot, especially since the competition for survival is really tight.
Hull themselves although currently sitting at 13th spot are also not that save yet from that potential drop by the end of season, especially if they can't regain their positive run in remaining matches. Playing away from home won't be stopping them from putting on an attacking display as they're not feeling any inferiority compared to their opponent. This tie could very well be an important encounter for either sides in their survival battle.
Cardiff's survival mission is getting much tougher as they suffered a disappointing home defeat this weekend against fellow newly promoted side, Hull City. The away team looking really comfortable on that tie as they got in front after 18 minutes with an effort from Tom Huddlestone, which was soon followed with Nikica Jelavi's goal on 38 minutes that seal the first 45 minutes with a 2-0 lead for the away team. In the second period, Hull kept on pushing forward as they added two more goals from Jelavic's second on 57 minutes along with Jake Livermore's strike on 67 minutes.
